I just got off the phone with the doctor.. Last night, after I turned D up to 1/4L, her alarm still went off at 1:30, 3:30, & 7:40. In between all of that, she woke up on her own at 5:30 to eat so I got NO sleep! The doc says that sometimes babies will become so rested that their resting heart rate will fall below the 70bpm. So we will reset the heart monitor to a minimum of 60 bpm. The average heart rate for babies her age is 75-110bpm. Her respirations are low also when she sleeps (20-25), so that could also account for the lower heart rate. Maybe she's just extremely relaxed. If the alarm still goes off, then it is something more serious. Clint doesn't buy it all and is a little wary. We're also going to try and get a different monitor and cable to see if it was more of a technical error. She's still pink though.

I was going to suggest getting a new monitor. It could totally be a malfunction. I remember when D slept with her pulse-ox on, the thing would go off whenever her heart rate dropped below 100. Now, she had a heart defect and her heart rate was much faster than normal, but it still went off a lot. Nobody needs that.
I hope (and think) this is just a technical glitch for you guys.
I too hope this is just a techno problem.
Not that we've ever had an official heart monitor on Connor here at home, but his baby monitor is one of those that registers if the baby is still breathing or not. We went through a spell last fall where the alarm would sound a couple of times per night. Talk about heart attack! I can only imagine how frustrating and unnerving this has been for you guys. Hope you get it all figured out soon.
Im sorry, I hope that you can find out whats going on!
I hope things get figured out soon...We are not going home with any monitors and it makes me a bit nervous...When Ayden is in a deep sleep his heartrate drops into the 70s when his isn't supposed to go below 90...how long has this been going on?...they thought bout puttin Ayden back on caffine to help..if she keeps havin issues maybe it could be a simple fix like that
