Surgery is done!

I got a call last night around 11:00pm saying they were going to push her back AGAIN but only to the early afternoon. So I slept in a little and got another phone call at 8:30 this morning saying they were ready to do the surgery right then! I was so excited. By 9:30 when I got there, they were done and she was passed out. They've been monitoring her very closely and will continue to do so for the next 48 hours. Her blood pressure has gotten better and all of the labs they've done on her are coming back great. She's doing SO good! Now that the PDA issue is past us, they can start giving her more fluids and she will gain weight.. like 10x faster than she was before. We are so excited! Here is where the incision was made. Usually they collapse the lung, put a chest tube in and and then go in and fix the heart. The doctor was able to just move her lung to the side without collapsing it and there was no need for a chest tube. So now she's just sleeping and healing and hopefully within a week or so we can get back to our home hospital! We've got our fingers crossed.
